29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about January 28, 2025, at 7616 Old Thyme Ct., Parkland, FL 33076, a worker descending from the main roof to the garage roof using an articulate extendable aluminum ladder was exposed to fall hazards; in that, the employer did not ensure that a personal fall arrest system was in use to prevent a 9.5 ft. fall hazard from the garage roof eave to the paved floor at ground level. Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about January 28, 2025, at 7616 Old Thyme Ct., Parkland, FL 33076, a worker descending from the main roof to the garage roof using an articulate extendable aluminum ladder was exposed to fall hazards; in that, the employer did not ensure that a personal fall arrest system was in use to prevent a 9.5 ft. fall hazard from the garage roof eave to the paved floor at ground level.
