29 CFR 1910.132(h)(1): Except as provided by paragraphs (h)(2) through (h)(6) of this section, the protective equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), used to comply with this part, shall be provided by the employer at no cost to employees:  (a)	On or about February 25, 2025, protective footwear was not provided to employees at no cost. Employees working with and/or around slabs of granite that weighed approximately 800 to 1,200 lbs. per slab are required to wear safety shoes that are designed to protect the feet from crushing and/or other hazards.  Employees had to purchase their own steel-toe/composite-toe footwear.
