29 CFR  1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, and protective shields and barriers, were not provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition wherever it is necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment, or mechanical irritants encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption or physical contact:  (a) Establishment, Kitchen - On or about April 15, 2025, An employee was removing bacon from a oven, when grease splashed their body, resulting in severe burns to torso and upper legs.  The employer did not provided employees aprons to protect them from exposure to burns from hot bacon grease.

29 CFR  1910.132(f)(1)(ii): The employer did not provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE on knowing what PPE is necessary to perform job task:  (a) Establishment, Kitchen - On or about April 15, 2025,  An employee was removing bacon from a oven, when grease splashed their body, resulting in severe burns to torso and upper legs.  The employer did not provide the training to the employees showing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to perform tasks safely in the kitchen.
