29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10):Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.  On or about June 3, 2025, employees doing roof work operations at the edge of the structure on a commercial flat roof were not protected from falls of 165 feet to the ground level. Employees were performing roofing activities including but not limited to membrane placement without utilizing the horizontal lifeline in place on the building.   Central States Commercial Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number1769661, citation number 1, item number 1 , and was affirmed as a final order on 11/14/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1618 Ash St., Erie, PA 16503.
