29 CFR  1910.28(b)(1)(i):Except as provided elsewhere in this section 29 CFR 1910.28, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the systems described in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i):  In the area of Brush Creek riverbank in the vicinity of Emmanuel Clever and The Paseo around 1455 Swope Parkway in Kansas City MO 64110, on July 18, 2025, and at times prior: Employees were exposed to broken bones, contusions, and even death from working in areas that had unprotected sides and edges, creating a fall hazard from heights of 10'-5/10'. The employer did not enforce any means of fall protection when working near unprotected sides and edges.
