29 CFR 1910.138(a):The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. a) Hospitality Restaurant Group, DBA, Hospitality Syracuse Inc., Taco Bell, 2220 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, New York, on or about 7/24/2025, employees were exposed to burn hazards of approximately 250 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit while cleaning the Proluxe Clamshell Grill.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii):Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: a) Hospitality Restaurant Group, DBA, Hospitality Syracuse Inc., Taco Bell, 2220 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, New York, on or about 7/24/2025, employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals when mixing Kay QSR Quarry Tile Floor Cleaner and Comet Disinfecting Cleaner with Bleach - Ready Use, chlorinated products, and were not trained in specific procedures to protect themselves from hazards associated with mixing incompatible chemicals. Hospitality Restaurant Group, DBA, Hospitality Syracuse Inc., Taco Bell, was previously cited for a similar violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1539664, citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on 1/6/2022, with respect to the workplace located at 9 River Street, Cortland, New York 13045.
