29 CFR  1910.132(a):  Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:  a) 253 East 206th Street, Bronx, NY - Mechanical Room:    On or about 11/11/25, employees cleaned out human feces/waste from a sewer trap by hand and were not provided with nor required to wear full-body protective clothing (disposable coveralls, tyvek-type suit, or equivalent), etc.  Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment:   a) 253 East 206th Street, Bronx, NY - Mechanical Room:    On or about 11/11/25, the employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present  which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment  prior to having employees clean out human feces/waste from a sewer trap by hand.   Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye and face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment:  a) 253 East 206th Street, Bronx, NY - Mechanical Room:    On or about 11/11/25, employees cleaned out human feces/waste from a sewer trap by hand and were not provided with nor required to wear eye (splash goggles or equivalent) and face protection (e.g., faceshield or equivalent).   Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
