OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Rear storage area. On or about December 22, 2025 an employee was partially buried to chest level beneath several hundred boxes of brake rotors and shelving components when multiple unsecured shelving units collapsed.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was used for storage: Rear Storage Area: The working space around two energized panelboards and one energized disconnect switch were used for the storage of control arms, ice melt, and other miscellaneous parts and dunnage. Napa of Connecticut was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1581543, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 25, 2022, with respect to the same equipment within the same workplace located at 722 Wethersfield Avenue Hartford, CT 06114.
