29 CFR  1910.138(b): The employer did not base selection of appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the tasks to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified:  (a) On or about January 14, 2026, Facility; the employer did not ensure that employee(s) were provided adequate protection from thermal hazards when handling hot metal parts retrieved from the automatic welders.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
