29 CFR 1910.253(e)(5)(v): Hose showing leaks, burns, worn places, or other defects rendering it unfit for service were not repaired or replaced: a.) Ellwood National Crankshaft, on or about January 20th, 2026, and times prior thereto: Leak tests were not being conducted on oxy/fuel hoses used for cutting operations. Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Ellwood National Crankshaft, on or about January 20th, 2026, and times prior thereto: A glove used for cutting operations had a breach in the outer lining near the thumb fold. Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
