Workers performing framing operations were required to climb the wooden framework to reach the top plates.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:  a) New construction located on Lots 64-70 at 5892 Serenade Ave., Braselton, GA 30517, Second level: On or about 02/06/2026, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards by allowing the use of a 10?foot Werner A?frame step ladder in the closed, leaning position rather than fully opened and locked as required by the manufacturer. The employee used the improperly configured ladder while taking measurements of the top plate for truss layout.
