An employee was troubleshooting a thigh deboner on a poultry processing line. As he worked to dislodge a thigh bone caught in the blade mechanism, the machine amputated the first and second digits on his left hand. He was hospitalized.

An employee was using a box strapping machine to place straps on boxes when his right middle finger was caught in the machine, resulting in an open fracture to the distal phalanx.

An employee was cleaning equipment. The employee came into contact with a sprocket on a conveyor, which deeply lacerated the employee's upper right arm.

An employee was helping change out socks on hard thin juice filters, part of a beet sugar manufacturing operation. An employee was returning to their workstation when they tripped over a customer's child and fell to the concrete floor on their left hip. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured hip.

An employee was operating a hide puller when his hand became caught in the hide puller chain. He sustained shoulder and wrist injuries that required surgery.

An employee was working on a pump. When a cap was opened to prime the pump, pressurized steam was released and burned the left side of the employee's body. The employee was hospitalized.

An employee was bringing a filter online. When the employee opened a valve to initiate flow through the filter, the gasket on the filter housing failed, spraying a water/erythritol mixture (heated to about 175 degrees Fahrenheit) toward the employee. The employee moved back quickly and their chemical suit caught on something, causing it to open. The mixture burned the employee's abdomen and left arm.

An employee was filling a hopper that deposited blueberries in muffin trays. Two plastic plates inside the equipment closed, pinching and amputating the employee's left ring fingertip. The equipment was running and unguarded at the time.

An employee was setting a piece of beef near the skinner machine when the blade amputated his right ring fingertip.

An employee was applying spreader hooks to hogs. A hog fell from the hook that he was holding upright and the hook lacerated a tendon in his left hand. The employee was hospitalized for surgery.

The employee was hospitalized with lacerations to their right hand and a perforated bladder and broken pelvis that required surgery.

An employee was collecting a sample from under an auger using a sample tube. The sample tube became clogged with dirt. He tapped it against the auger to dislodge the dirt when the auger contacted his middle finger, resulting in an amputation.

An employee was replacing a gasket on a boiler. The boiler released steam that sprayed the employee's legs resulting in second-degree burns.
