On January 15, 2015, the employee was caught between equipment and suffered serious injuries while operating a saw machine located at 2130 Third Avenue NW in West Fargo, North Dakota.
An employee was assisting with rigging a magnet to an overhead crane in order to lift a sheet of steel. The employee's right thumb was between the crane's hook and the chain passing through the hook, and when the crane was raised, the distal end of their thumb was crushed. Part of the employee's right thumb was medically amputated.
An employee was carrying out a series of alignments using a torque gun and several wrenches. As the employee torqued an alignment bolt onto a trailer axle, the employee's left hand was caught between the wrench and the axle hanger. The employee's left index and middle fingertips were amputated.
