At approximately 1:55 p.m., on 07/31/15, an employee was performing heat sealing on cotton bags. A coworker dropped a cap onto the floor. The injured employee bent down to pick up the cap while placing her hand inside the platen press point of operation. She stepped on the guarded foot pedal, cycling the press onto her hand. She received second degree burns to her left hand, requiring hospitalization.
