An employee was injured while performing a routine wheel inspection diagnostics checklist. During this inspection and as the wheel assembly was spinning, the employee's right hand entered into the wheel assembly and his index finger extended beyond the spoke of the wheel as it passed the brake caliper assembly. A pinch point occurred between the caliper and the spoke and amputated the fingertip.
