Final narrative
An employee was attempting to remove a 1/2 inch drill bit from a battery operated drill equipped with a keyless chuck. The employee was wearing cotton rubber palm gloves and squeezing the keyless chuck to remove the bit. As he pushed the trigger increasing the torque to the keyless chuck his grip slipped and the bit caught the fingertip of his glove twisting it and his fingertip into the bit causing lacerations and a fracture to the employee's left index fingertip.
An employee was using a drill with a hole saw attachment to cut holes for bar ties on a wall form. The drill's chuck snagged his work glove and his left little finger was amputated.
