An employee was on the tubing platform of a production rig placing tubes in the elevators when his safety line became snagged by the tubing being elevated. The employee was lifted off of the platform until his line separated, then he fell onto the platform. The employee sustained back and neck injuries and five broken ribs. The employee was hospitalized.
