Final narrative
On January 14, 2017, an employee was attacked by a bull while preforming routine work duties. The employee suffered a broken collar bone, a broken scapula, a head wound and a concussion.
An employee was training and moving horses when one of the horses knocked her to the ground, resulting in fractures to the left arm, both legs, and the right ankle. The employee also sustained bruises to the face.
Employees were at a barn checking on mules and feeding them. While the employees were in the corral, the mules became spooked. The injured employee was kicked or stepped on by the mules, resulting in a concussion, fractures to the left shoulder, arm, and hand, as well as a bruised knee and ribs. The employee underwent surgery.
An employee was waiting for a patient at the front door when a dog jumped on her, causing her to fall down the stairs and sustain a fractured left little finger and thumb.
The injured employee and a second employee were collecting genetic material from a bull inside the collection ring. The bull fell over onto the injured employee and they were hospitalized with a fractured left tibia.
An employee was cleaning a manure pit while in the elevated bucket of a bucket loader. While they were disconnecting a rope that holds the manure pump in place, the employee misstepped and fell 4 feet into the cement pit. The employee struck his head and sustained a forehead laceration and head trauma.
At 2:30 p.m. on October 13, 2021, an employee was on top of a pump truck, replacing the cone insert on the cyclone tank. He fell about 11 feet, striking a mounted toolbox before hitting the ground. He suffered a broken right leg below the knee, a compressed lower back vertebra, and a contusion to the right buttock. He was hospitalized.
An employee was attaching a powered industrial truck to a trailer in a parking lot. The employee slipped on ice and fell to the concrete, suffering a broken right arm.
An employee was working to deliver mail to an apartment building. She was waiting for a customer to move, to obtain clearance to the mailboxes. The door swung inward and closed on her right little finger. The top half of her finger was surgically amputated.
An employee fell from a step ladder while reaching for a tie-off point. He impacted the ground, and landed on his bolt bag which contained tools. The employee was hospitalized with fractured ribs, and a lacerated spleen and kidney.
On October 30, 2025, an employee was working to adjust a stackable metal shipping container. As the container dropped into place, it caught the employee's hands in an area between the upper and lower cross-members. The employee suffered a laceration to the left ring finger that required stitches, bruising to the right ring finger, and fractures to the right middle finger that necessitated medical amputation of the fingertip.
An employee was moving a scissor lift through a doorway. The employee was pinned between the scissor lift and the doorframe, sustained a back injury, and was hospitalized.
An employee was setting up communication equipment for a meeting. They were walking and tripped over a speaker on the ground. The employee sustained a leg injury.
