Final narrative
An employee was removing chicken wing totes from beneath a wing separator. The employee reached up under the wing separator to retrieve a hanging chicken piece and contacted the separator. The employee's left middle fingertip was amputated above the nailbed.
An employee opened the hatch of a meat processing machine for maintenance to remove product from underneath the machine. The hatch bumped and smashed the employee's left ring fingertip between the machine and the hatch, resulting in an amputation to the tip of the nail.
An employee was winching cages down to a drop-deck live-haul trailer. The terminal tractor moved in reverse and the employee was pinned between the fifth wheel and the trailer kingpin area. The employee suffered multiple fractures and lacerations.
