An employee was loading a 700- to 800-pound steel billet into a furnace when the billet became misaligned on the loading platform. As he attempted to straighten the billet with a pry bar, it rolled off the loading platform and onto his left foot, breaking bones and crushing toes.
An employee was cleaning around an internal diameter blasting machine before the end of his shift. The arm of the in-feed loading table had a steel pipe staged on it; the arm lowered, causing the pipe to roll into the employee and pin him between itself and another pipe. He sustained contusions around his midsection.
