An employee was using a portable band saw to create quality samples from steel tubing. He held the band saw with his right hand and attempted to catch the sample piece with his left. The saw blade bound up inside the tubing. He was attempting to steady the saw with his left hand when the blade cut and amputated his left index fingertip.
An employee was walking under a spool of coil tubing to assist another employee. When the employee reached up and grabbed the tubing, his left hand was pulled into a pinch point between the tubing and a roller.
