Final narrative
On June 20, 2017, an employee was working on a pipe while standing on skids stacked on the pipeline. The employee was closing the valve on the pipe so it could be tested for leaks when the skids shifted and the employee fell. The flange of the pipeline hit the employee's right foot, amputating it from the ball of the foot forward.
