An employee climbed up a ladder to unhook it from a barge. The employee climbed up 4 to 5 steps when the ladder moved. He lost his balance and fell 6 feet to the floor of the barge, fracturing his left wrist and right knee and possibly fracturing his right hip.

An employee was inside a cargo hold on a ship, guiding in a steel slab load, when the load hit a two-by-four. The two-by-four then popped up and pinched the employee's pinky fingertip between it and the load chain, resulting in a partial finger amputation.
An employee was in the hatch of a maritime vessel attempting to hook up to a bundle of pipe to lift it out of the hatch. The employee began to experience severe body cramps and was hospitalized with severe dehydration.
