An employee was operating a tar truck on the highway and noticed a problem with the equipment. He exited the cab of the vehicle and noticed a large amount of hot tar coming from the valve of the equipment. He slipped on the tar and fell to the ground, contacting the 240-degree tar. He received burns on his hands and back.
