On April 23, 2024, at approximately 7:30 PM, a driver was picking up a trailer at a rail yard. The employee was using a crowbar and hammer to adjust the pins of the chassis to allow the intermodal container to sit on the chassis. The container shifted and the employee's left hand was caught between the container and chassis, resulting in a partial amputation of their middle, ring, and little fingers.

He was trying to pull down the door, gripping a strap with one hand and the trailer grip handle with the other hand, when he fell to the ground 2-3 feet below. He suffered a broken right shoulder, a fracture to a right-side middle rib, a punctured right lung, and a swollen esophagus.

An employee was pulling on a bale of corrugated cardboard boxes that were on a conveyor. The straps on the bale failed and the employee fell to the floor. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery for a fractured femur and/or hip.
