An employee simultaneously rolled two test coupons to prepare them for a pre-test for a new welder. A coupon consists of the end of a pipe and weighs about 50 pounds. The employee's left thumb was pinched between the two rolling coupons, tearing the tissue from the thumb tip, which required surgical removal of about 1 mm of bone.
