An employee was looking for a connection when he bumped into a 10-pound flow key and it fell on his ring finger, fracturing it.
An employee was working in the rod basket on a well service rig when their left ring finger was caught in a pinch point between the rod basket swivel frame and a support on the rig. The finger was amputated.
