An employee was installing a safety pin into the locking device on a trailer that was being positioned into a jig. The employee was sliding the safety pin into place while adjustments were being made to place the trailer in the correct position and her left ring finger was pinched between the trailer and the locking device resulting in a fingertip amputation.
