Final narrative
On November 7, 2018, a quality technician was providing training to one of the departments and was speaking to a co-worker while by her desk. Her foot got wedged in the lower opening of a metal skid that normally holds layers of gum. This caused her to lose balance and fall over causing a closed fracture of the left ankle.
An employee was turning his vehicle in a dock area when it struck a bollard. This caused the steering wheel to jolt in the direction opposite from the one he was steering in, causing a compound fracture to his right arm.
An employee was retrieving cases of finished product from shelving when they were struck by falling product. They sustained broken vertebrae and a concussion.
On June 8, 2023, an employee and a co-worker were walking toward each other from perpendicular directions when they collided and the injured employee fell, resulting in a broken hip that required hospitalization and surgery.
An employee arrived at work and was walking into the store through the parking lot. The employee tripped over a curb and fell to the ground, sustaining a femur fracture.
