An employee was operating a pallet truck. As he was turning into an aisle from the south dry dock, he struck a guard rail with his right hand, causing the pallet jack to come to a full and complete stop that thrust him forward off the machine. As he fell from the machine, he held onto the throttle. His left foot and leg were then pinned against a rack. He was hospitalized with a crushed right hand, left leg laceration, and fractured fibula.
