An employee was adjusting a shim in a saw when the clamping mechanism closed, amputating the employee's right index finger between the clamp and the shim.
An employee was operating a crane on the railroad tracks to pick up sticks of rail to place in a gondola hopper. As the employee was transferring sticks of rail into the hopper, the sticks struck a power pole and then struck the employee. The employee sustained a lacerated liver, crushed kidney, three broken ribs and three broken fingers.
An employee was using a sledgehammer to remove a bearing from a completed wheel set. A piece of metal broke off the sledgehammer and penetrated the employee's bicep.
