An employee was driving a forklift with a dump bucket attachment full of dirt. The employee stopped the forklift and prepared to dump the bucket. When he pulled the manual latch of the dump bucket, the bucket slid backwards toward the lift. One of his fingers was caught and partially amputated between the forklift and the bucket.
