An employee was assembling a wood crate using a pneumatic staple gun when the staple gun's safety mechanism pressed against the employee's thumb while he simultaneously depressed the trigger. The staple released into his thumb and he required hospitalization.
An employee was installing wood trim surrounding a skylight inside a home. While holding a piece of trim in it's desired location, his pneumatic nail gun discharged, sending a 3/4-inch pin nail into his left forearm.
