Final narrative
An 8-ton tugger (a pneumatic winch with cables and pulleys) and snatch block were being used to move a coil pack into position. An employee was monitoring the cable and pulleys. The employee's right hand was caught between the cable and the channel of the block, causing amputations to the right index, middle, ring, and little fingers and a non-displaced fracture to the right little finger.
An employee started to cut a thermowell (a 2-inch piece of pipe with a sensor inside) using a portable bandsaw. A flash caused minor burns to the employee's chin, neck, and wrists; the employee was hospitalized.
