Two employees were working on a brake press and they were holding a 12-foot by 7-inch part. Employee 1 was operating the brake press and went to move the part, resulting in an amputation to his right ring finger at the first knuckle and partial amputations to his right index and middle fingers.

On December 5, an employee was moving a bundle of 25 square pipes with an overhead crane. He hooked the bundle at each end. When he lowered the bundle, the pipes, which had separated, pinched back together. He was using his left hand to guide the load and his fingertip was caught between the pipes when they went back together, resulting in a left ring fingertip amputation (tissue only).
