An employee was removing an open-head drum from a skid. When he removed it, he rolled it on the floor. His finger got caught between the drum he was moving and another drum that was stationary. The employee's right ring finger was amputated between the two drums.

The employee became ill about two hours later and was hospitalized for heat-related illness.
