An employee had a long screw auger set on pipe stands approximately 4 feet from the ground. One of the pipe stands tipped as he was adjusting the auger, causing the auger to fall onto his foot and fracture it.

An employee was moving a piece of an I-beam for welding when it rolled off the cribbing. The employee went to catch it when it fell and crushed the employee's finger, resulting in a partial amputation.

WIRECO WORLDGROUP, INC.

An employee was helping to disassemble large reels used to store steel wire when a 264-pound flange from the reel fell over onto the employee's left leg. The employee sustained multiple fractures to their leg and ligament injuries to the lower leg.

The injured employee was putting away materials on the warehouse floor as a co-worker was pushing a pallet onto a nearby shelf. On October 18, 2022, at approximately 7:30 AM, an employee was removing the mounting bolts from a juice extractor motor. Upon removing the last bolt, the motor released, catching their left thumb between the motor and the lifting jig. The employee sustained a broken thumb and laceration, resulting in hospitalization.

An employee was cutting extruded aluminum framing material using a horizontal band saw. She went to grab a rag in the machine when the rag contacted the blade and pulled her hand in toward the blade, resulting in a partial amputation of the right index finger.
