Final narrative
An employee was moving from one side of a 14-inch pipe to the other side to continue welding a 90-degree piece onto the pipe. As he neared the end of the pipe, the pipe stand was kicked and the piece fell onto the employee's hand, pinching his right ring finger between the bevel of the pipe and the 90-degree piece. The employee suffered a fingertip amputation.
