An employee was using a handheld drill to remove a screw between a cage and a pallet. The gauze of a previous non work-related injury to their fingers was caught in the rotating parts of the battery powered hand drill and pulled on the employee's ring and middle fingers, resulting in two fingertip amputations.
An employee was walking on a sidewalk when he stepped off the sidewalk into the grass. As he was stepping onto the concrete parking lot, he tripped over the edge of the concrete and fell onto his left hip. The employee was hospitalized.
On February 9, 2024, at 10:15 a.m., an employee was assisting a forklift operator in moving a regrind silo bin. The regrind silo bin was sitting on a stand and measured approximately 7 feet tall. The employee and operator were utilizing lifting straps around the equipment and on the forks of the forklift to move the bin when it tipped and fell onto the employee's right foot and ankle.
