An employee was trying to remove a piece of plastic from a sprocket and chain that drove a cooling bed. The cooling bed moved forward and the employee's right hand was caught in the rollers, which lacerated and fractured the employee's thumb.
An employee reached in to remove packaging materials from the six-line filler (yogurt machine). The machine was indexing and was not turned off at the time. She injured her left forearm, requiring hospitalization and subsequent surgery.
