Employees were working on an excavator bucket that was sitting on the ground. An employee placed a block to stabilize the bucket. The fit was not tight enough, so the employee removed the block to reposition it. The bucket then rolled forward and pinned him across his torso and lower back. He suffered a dislocation at the left hip socket, as well as a broken pelvis, and was hospitalized.
