An employee was removing a stuck 100-pound fiberglass fan blade from a mold. A wedge between the blade and the mold came out, and the blade dropped down and lacerated his right ring fingertip. He was hospitalized.

An employee was helping to place a motor on the bed of a truck using a forklift. He reached under the forks to unhook a chain when the forks came down crushing his hand and forearm. No bones were broken, but he suffered severe bruising and a compression injury. The employee's arm was lanced from the wrist to the elbow to relieve internal pressure.
