An employee was trying to attach a hydraulic power unit trailer to a truck hitch. While he was aligning the trailer and working to lower its coupler onto the truck hitch, the trailer dropped onto his left ring finger. He suffered an amputation to the fingertip, involving loss of tissue.

An employee was latching a gooseneck trailer onto a truck. His left hand was caught at the point of attachment, and he suffered a partial amputation to the finger at the first knuckle.

As he pulled down with his right hand, the pulley rotated and the belt slid over it, pulling his left little finger between the pulley and the belt. He suffered an amputation to the fingertip as well as a fracture to the ring finger.

After cutting a slab of beef short ribs, an employee turned to grab the pieces he had cut and his right hand contacted the saw blade. The employee sustained an amputation to his right index finger.
