Final narrative
An employee was cleaning a processor unit. They manually rotated the cutter drum and both thumbs became caught in a pinch point between the knife blades once the drum started moving. Their right thumb was partially amputated to the knuckle, their hand was lacerated, and their left thumb was lacerated and required stitches. The machine was not energized at the time.
