Final narrative
The injured employee was bending sheet metal on a brake press while fabricating components for an HVAC system. The injured employee and a co-worker were holding a 9-foot x 4.5-foot piece of steel and turning it to make another bend when the sheet slipped. As it dropped, the sheet of steel caused a severe laceration to the injured employee's left wrist and cut a tendon.
