An employee used a hoist to lift a centrifuge bowl weighing approximately 5500 pounds. The injured employee and a co-worker started sliding the support stand that was under the raised bowl. A flange on the bowl caught the sliding support member and roller of the support stand and the injured employee's right ring and middle fingers were caught between the bowl flange and the sliding roller support member. The right middle finger was lacerated and the ring finger was partially amputated.
An employee was hooking up a set of 28-foot trailers, attaching a converter dolly to the lead trailer's pintle hook. He backed up the lead trailer and parked it a foot from the converter dolly, then lifted the converter dolly and rolled it to the lead trailer to set it onto the hook.
