The injured employee was holding a frame while another employee was drilling holes for an anchor. The drill chuck contacted the injured employee's hand, resulting in the avulsion and amputation of their left ring finger.

Milestone Electric

An employee was brazing copper lines together on a new air conditioning unit close to an access point in a brick wall, The two wires ran horizontally and copper tubing ran vertically. The heat from the brazing heated up the copper tubing. A wire was touching the copper tubing, causing the wire jacket to melt. The wire infused itself to the copper tubing, which energized the copper pipe. The employee was using a wet towel to cool down the copper tubing when he was electrically shocked, resulting in hospitalization.

Constant Construction, LLC

On August 19, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, an employee was performing painting duties on a swing stage (lift) on the exterior of a building. While bringing the lift to the roof to drop off materials, he reached toward the edge of the building and contacted a metal plaque on the roof s edge, that was energized due to a frayed electrical wire. The employee was electrocuted and lost consciousness. The employee was hospitalized.

On July 29, 2025, an employee was troubleshooting and/or changing an emergency power connector on an aircraft. The employee experienced an electrical shock when an exterior electrical source was activated. The employee was hospitalized for electric shock and burns on their lower right arm.

An employee was servicing a circuit board on a portable X-ray unit when a battery cable touched part of the board, causing electrical burns to two fingers on his right hand.

An employee was conducting jail cell window bar taps. They were closing one cell and opening the adjacent cell at the same time and sustained an electrical shock from an energized metal door.

The employee was walking between a forward-moving dump truck and a dirt pile when his right foot was run over by the truck s wheel, causing him to fall. The employee sustained injury to his foot.

An employee was operating a skid steer with a bucket attachment at a demolition site. While driving it to the rear of the property to park it, the employee came into contact with a live electrical transformer unit that was located outside of the facility. The employee sustained electrical burns on his hands extending up to his elbows and a fractured ankle.

Gerke Excavating, Inc.

An employee was installing a door on a semi-trailer. They were using a forklift to lift the door to the height of the trailer when the door became jammed between the forklift mast and the hinge on the trailer. When the employee went to dislodge the door from the mast, the door fell and crushed their foot. Their big toe was amputated. The employee was hospitalized and their big toe was surgically reattached. The employee's foot and other toes also required surgery.

An employee fell from a dock to ground level (less than 4 feet) and broke their tibia/knee.

An employee was on the ground working to close a trailer door. The door was caught by the wind and blew the employee backward. He landed on his back and sustained four fractured ribs, requiring hospitalization.
