Final narrative
On April 7, 2025, an employee was cutting a fitting off fuel oil piping using a portable band saw. The fitting caught in the jaw of the blade and rotated his finger into the blade. The employee sustained a partial amputation to his left third finger, an avulsion, and a fracture.

The injured employee was working in the GE plant purging the gas in the building. Work in a 4-foot pit had just been completed and the diamond floor plating over the top of the pit was replaced incorrectly. As the injured employee was walking to check the valve, he fell through the floor plating over the pit. The injured employee sustained a right leg laceration on the corner of the plate.
After cutting a slab of beef short ribs, an employee turned to grab the pieces he had cut and his right hand contacted the saw blade. The employee sustained an amputation to his right index finger.
