Final narrative
An employee was outside assembling a 500-ton crane. The employee was connecting the rigging to the boom. He leaned forward to attach the lifting plate on the side of the boom and lost balance while bending over. He fell to the ground approximately 10 feet below, landing on his elbow. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured elbow that required surgery.
An employee was operating a crane and changing out a roof-top air conditioner at a school building when the employee began to feel symptoms of heat-related illness, including vomiting and feeling overheated, tired, faint, and weak.
