Cedar Point Amusement Park

On April 29, 2019, at approximately 1:45 p.m. an employee was attempting to lift a metal locker that had tipped over. The locker door closed on the employee's right middle finger resulting in a fingertip amputation.

On April 11, 2018, an employee was removing plywood from a picnic shelter when the employee slipped onto a small fiberglass piece, which broke and sent the employee falling approximately 15 feet to the concrete below. The employee suffered a fractured wrist and ruptured spleen, requiring hospitalization.

On August 28, 2017, an employee suffered a muscle injury after climbing to the top of a hill on an amusement park ride to retrieve a customer's cellphone. The employee was hospitalized.

On or about August 6, 2016, an employee was using a vehicle-mounted winch when the holding mechanism malfunctioned and the wire cable kept unwinding. The employee could not pull their right hand back in time and it was pulled into the first "sheave" that was about 6 feet away from the winch, amputating three fingers.

An employee slipped on ice on the main walkway while walking into work, resulting in a fractured left leg.

An employee fell while moving a water canister, resulting in fractures to four fingers on her right hand.

The office had just closed, and an employee was finishing at her desk. A vendor arrived to perform their services. The employee unlocked the door for the vendor and proceeded to walk backward away from the door while talking to the vendor. She fell backward and landed on her hip. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured hip.

An employee fell while entering the building. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured ankle and required surgery.

An employee was coming from the parking lot at the start of his shift. He fell while walking in the crosswalk and sustained pain and numbness in his right leg. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery.

An employee fell to an office floor, landing on her right side and suffering a broken hip, a broken right arm, and a concussion. She was hospitalized, requiring surgery.

An employee was in a paint booth to change filters underneath the booth. She took a step when her right foot fell into an opening in the floor, resulting in a right ankle injury that required hospitalization and surgery.

On October 11, 2025, an employee was walking through a parking lot when they tripped on a pavement joint and fell, resulting in a fractured right ankle and a left knee injury.

An employee was unloading merchandise from a pallet when she tripped over the pallet and fell forward. Her head and face struck the floor of the stockroom, resulting in multiple head and face injuries that required hospitalization.

An employee tripped on an incline/ramp at the door to a building, fell, and suffered a broken left arm.

At the end of a shift on the downhill coaster, an employee was waiting for an empty cart to arrive at the bottom so he could ride it back up the hill. The cart arrived with its seat belt safety lock engaged. The employee boarded the top of the cart and began working to disengage the lock by reaching under the cart. His right hand and two fingers got caught between the rear wheel of the cart and the coaster rail. His ring and little fingers were crushed and lacerated, resulting in surgery and partial amputation of the ring finger.

An employee was working to deliver mail to an apartment building. She was waiting for a customer to move, to obtain clearance to the mailboxes. The door swung inward and closed on her right little finger. The top half of her finger was surgically amputated.

An employee fell from a step ladder while reaching for a tie-off point. He impacted the ground, and landed on his bolt bag which contained tools. The employee was hospitalized with fractured ribs, and a lacerated spleen and kidney.

On October 30, 2025, an employee was working to adjust a stackable metal shipping container. As the container dropped into place, it caught the employee's hands in an area between the upper and lower cross-members. The employee suffered a laceration to the left ring finger that required stitches, bruising to the right ring finger, and fractures to the right middle finger that necessitated medical amputation of the fingertip.

An employee was moving a scissor lift through a doorway. The employee was pinned between the scissor lift and the doorframe, sustained a back injury, and was hospitalized.

An employee was setting up communication equipment for a meeting. They were walking and tripped over a speaker on the ground. The employee sustained a leg injury.
